Latin for 2011: Fresh Ideas for Fresh Kids

We'll explore fresh ideas in Latin teaching through engaging,standards-connected, and rigorous activities. Topics to be explored include grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and translation.
Methods to be explored include learning games, kinesthetic activities, listening and speaking activities, multimedia and technology-based activities, and adaptations of modern language techniques. The presentation style is fast-paced, with plenty of multimedia integration, hands-on interaction for participants, and opportunity for group discussion and analysis. Participants will receive myriad materials that can be used immediately in the classroom.
